Add some flair to your old sweatshirts and hoodies with quilted blocks. Learn how to piece fabric with crazy quilting using scraps. In this class, you will learn how to create a new pocket. Take the skills and make more at home to cover other parts of the sweatshirt as well.

Skills needed: how to use a sewing machine, sew in a straight line, press seams, lock stitches

Materials YOU BRING TO CLASS:

• fabric scraps of coordinating fabrics enough to cover a 12x12 area with seam allowances

• backing fabric: approximately 12x18 inches to be safe

• thread

• scissors

• personal iron/small ironing board (not required, but recommended - I use a mini iron and 12x18" board for this project)

(recommended to use cotton fabric)

Refund Policy: There is a $5 non-refundable fee when signing up for class. This is included in your class fee to cover our fees for processing payments if you need to cancel. Cancellations made more than 10 days in advance will receive a full refund minus the $5 fee. Cancellations made within 7-10 days of the class will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of class will not receive a refund.
